What a pathetic story about those who purposely ruin people’s lives and destroy a great nation. When you outsource your moral sense, I guess anyone who drapes themselves in God can take you for a ride.

Thanks Paul for sharing. How do we mass break people away from this cult? I am glad individuals are leaving.

Thank you. I wish I knew the answer to your question! Meanwhile, we keep plugging away, doing what we can to demonstrate that it is possible to step out of the disinformation bubble and return to fact-based reality.

I stopped attending Chuck Smith’s Calvary Chapel, in Costa Mesa, California, in the early 2000s. The church handed out pamphlets telling people to vote Republican. I was disgusted. The church should have lost tax exempt status for this violation. It is time for all churches to be taxed, they are money making machines for a select few.

"there would always be people trying to make the US less Christian"

Yep. It's the MAGA/Christian Nationalist crowd. There is no worse of a testimony to Jesus Christ than American Christians.

Fantastic explanation on how good people get sucked into maga and Christian nationalism.

I have a dear old friend who belongs to a Bible based church in N.C.

I wish I could have her read this but I'm sure she would just pray harder for saving my soul.

I'm glad we still have lots to talk about without ever mentioning our beliefs. I do know hers and she knows mine and we can remain friends. But for how much longer?

I hope you will consider sending this to her, or directing her to my testimonial on LeavingMAGA.org, or my TikTok Page @inthechillestland had I had something to relate to, someone to look to who had left, I may have left a lot sooner. I felt crazy in my silent doubts and told NO ONE for years. Thank you for reading and I am keeping hope alive for your friend! 💜
